The federal Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) continues to be challenged by opponents, mainly in the oil and gas industry, on legislative, regulatory, and legal fronts. Just after President Obama's reelection last year, the American Petroleum Institute (API) announced that it had changed its position on the RFS from reform to repeal.
